Dear Gentle Readers,
It has been an interesting two weeks. I had eye surgery to remove old scar tissue from an accident. It was laser surgery done in the office and it was painless. The world went from looking through a window of crunched-up plastic wrap to beautiful, crisp, and clear in less than 24 hours.
We also had a kitchen accident. I am fine. The house, however, had some smoke damage and smelled disgusting from the burned pan. It took three days to get everything cleaned, and some things were unsaveable. This mishap in no way is a reflection of my kitchen prowess. I am a good cook. Usually.
Have a good day. Do something today that makes you smile. Sometimes we are so caught up making a living we forget to enjoy this roller-coaster ride called life. Find some little thing that nourishes your spirit today. It could be a little walk in nature. A cup of great tea. An old I Love Lucy rerun. Do it for you.
