Dear Gentle Readers,
This is the time of year where all the seasonal plants need to be cut back and the waterlilies have to be pulled out, cut back, and winterized. I still have many plants in bloom, but the weather can turn cold quickly here and no one relishes playing in ice cold water. So it is time to take in what fits in the house, find a permanent place for the perennials, and say goodbye to the annuals. Gone are the years where we tried to bring everything in and have jungle rooms... and backaches. It's not goodbye to pond time. I leave one chair out all year and have been known to be out there, bundled in hat and scarves and coat and gloves and boots. Still beautiful. Gotta run. Do one little thing today toward your goal, just one. Have a great week.
