Deciding on the spelling of the title of this novel was the hardest, most aggravating part of writing this book. As it stands, it is misspelled. The correct spelling, THE BASILICATA, was thrown out because it sounded like a church to everyone except southern Italians. The dialect pronunciation is buzz-lee-gud, and if my editor rejected the correct spelling, you can imagine his feelings toward the German bumble bee one. Maybe a title change is in order. What do you think? I am open to suggestions. Love and Speed. No, no. Racing Toward Disaster. No, no. Stranger in the Rear View Mirror. No, no.
