These are my pink Mandevilla blooming on the deck. My first experience with Mandevilla was in Hawaii where I saw them planted on the rooftops of the buildings and cascading down the walls. I didn't see the plant here in Ohio until many years later. Sold as an annual here, I take mine inside during the winter, after a really good haircut. Sometime they survive to bloom again the following year. Sometime they don't. The longest one that lived for me was a gorgeous red one that lasted five summers. For something that looks so delicate, they are surprisingly tough. Give Mandevilla a try!
