Dear Gentle Readers,
This is a photo I took on our trip to Colorado last April. We flew into Denver, then rented a car and drove to Colorado Springs. We also spent time in southern Colorado. What beautiful country! There were breathtaking panoramic views wherever we turned. The only down side was it was hard to breathe! I have a ton of photos of my mouth smiling and my eyes saying "call 9-1-1." It probably didn't help that we went to the top of Pike's Peak, some 14,000+ mile altitude, or spent the day in the ghost town-turned-casino heaven, Cripple Creek, also up in the mountains, or hiked around the Garden of the Gods. They say you get used to it. Two weeks did not do it for this old lady. But it truly is beautiful country. If you get a chance to visit the beautiful state of Colorado, go. It will thrill you.
P.S. Bring oxygen.
